Sustainable Groundwater Management
The Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA) was signed into law on September 16, 2014. SGMA requires that local agencies within each groundwater basin develop and implement a Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP). Pursuant to this requirement, Tulelake Irrigation District, the City of Tulelake, Modoc County and Siskiyou County are working together to develop and implement a GSP for the Tulelake Subbasin.
